Social Studies Department Mission

• Engage students in the exploration of ideas, events, and decisions central to the human experience
• Foster students’ ability to formulate decisions and effectively communicate their own ideas while demonstrating respect for diversity
• Promote informed and active citizens

• Demonstrate the skills and understandings essential to being autonomous lifelong learners
