Mission In order to meet the need for all people to become technologically literate, we will provide each Winnacunnet student with a multi-faceted, action- based centralized environment that will foster creativity, practical, and problem-solving skills, devoted to the application of human ingenuity and innovation. As a result of their Technology Education experiences students will become self-directed, resourceful, self-sufficient, and understanding of the real world.
Outcomes In the vast selection of technology education classes offered at Winnacunnet High School, students will: - Demonstrate an understanding of and an appreciation for the importance of accepting individual responsibility, developing a solid work ethic, and learning to plan and work effectively.
- Select and use appropriate measuring tools to accurately gather, manipulate, and communicate information.
- Exhibit the safe and proper selection and use of technical equipment, materials, and processes.
- Discover and develop talents, aptitudes, and interests of the individual related to technical pursuits.
- Demonstrate an awareness of career opportunities.
- Demonstrate a systematic approach to solving problems.
- Demonstrate skills needed to find, use, and communicate information effectively.
- Demonstrate an appreciation, understanding, and ability to evaluate a product and its processes as a response to human needs and wants.
- Exhibit an understanding of the relationship between academic concepts and practices to their applications in technological settings.
